Big Horn County Confirms One (1) New Case of COVID-19 Five (5) hospitalized in County—11 Jun

HARDIN, MONTANA (June 11, 2020) – Big Horn County added one (1) confirmed positive case of COVID-19 on Thursday. The patient is a male in his 30’s who was tested due to symptoms and is not known to be related to any current clusters in the County. The Big Horn County Public Health Department and Indian Health Service (IHS) Public Health Nursing are tracing the contacts of this new case. All close contacts will be notified, interviewed, and given instructions for further action if required.

Public health nurses want to remind all residents of Big Horn County of the best ways to prevent the transmission of this illness: stay home, if you can; wear a mask when in public; stay at least six (6) feet away from other people; wash your hands thoroughly and often; clean and sanitize frequently touched surfaces and items; and avoid travel out of the County if at all possible. And if you are feeling sick, do not go to work or leave your home; rather, contact your healthcare provider for guidance.
